  • Round 5 project of "Building Virtual World", the class of Entertainment Technology Center at Carnegie Mellon University
  • Game designer / Artist
For Round 5 in BVW ("Building Virtual World", the class of Entertainment Technology Center at Carnegie Mellon University), every team should try their best and use their experience learned from whole semester, to make an great game or interactive experience for players in BVW festival. There will be only 20 games selected from 75 games in five rounds to be shown in BVW festival.

We had to consider many condition, like how to tell a good story, how to give the best feedback from players, how to design a good interest curve, etc. For giving guest a fresh new technology experience, at first, we built the hologram to display our model and game. However, it took too much time for us so that we could not have a good content of the game. Therefore, we decided to focus on developing our game as the first priority.

In this game, "F.R.A.P.S.", I designed the whole scene environment, and two robots modeling and animations. For the better visual effects of the game, I wrote the shaders for showing attacking effect as the obvious and interactive feedback. Besides, I made the cut scenes for the transition of game level.
